American’s past time might have been surpassed by Football as America’s most popular sporting event, but it still has the best history of any sport that we play here in the United States.

The arguments go on and on in bars and at water coolers across the nation: Who is the best player of all time? Is it Babe Ruth or someone more modern like Hank Aaron? Which era are comparing? Is the best player a pitcher? CAN it be a pitcher?

This the one of the most fun things about the grestest game ever. The stats and the richhistory are like no other. The way the game is played have pretty much stayed consistant, so you can find yourself comparing guys of now with guys from years gone by. The discussions can be endless.

Here is my list of the best baseball players of all-time. we have choosen one player at each position.

First Base - Lou Gerig - Possibly the best hitter of all-time and gets over shadowed by playing with Babe Ruth.

Second Base - Joe Morgan - Great numbers and great glove.

Third Base - Mike Schmidt - Awesome power numbers for the era that he played in and he won a ton of gold gloves.

SS - Rogers Hornsby - He palyed a long time ago, but no other SS has numbers even close.

LF - Hank Aaron - Only Babe Ruth was better hitting for average and power.

CF - Willie Mays - The complete package. Speed, power, average, and defense.

RF - Babe Ruth - Undisputedly the best player ever, especially when you add in his numbers as a pitcher.

Two that need to be mentioned:
Ty Cobb - If he had hit for a little more power, he would easily be there.
Ted Williams - Missed 4 years of playing time during WWII.

Bill E. Sheers builds websites like the fullsizecarreviews.com. He is also well versed on Cars With Good Gas Mileage and knows a thing or two about Short Term Car Insurance.

Espresso Is All About Pressure

Posted by admin | Uncategorized | Saturday 31 October 2009 10:46 am

There are several ways to brew coffee and each method creates a different taste. The high-pressure brewing method extracts the maximum flavor and aroma from coffee grounds. Many fine restaurants and hotels the world over only serve freshly brewed coffee extracted under high pressure. A capresso espresso machine does exactly that.

Brewing coffee as quickly as possible and under high pressure is the ideal process to extract maximum flavor and aroma from your coffee while also preventing the extraction of bitter oils.

When you use this technique to brew one or two ounces of coffee at a time it is considered an espresso. When the grinding, the tamping and the pressure all come together in the right combination your espresso will always produce a foamy layer on top, called the “crema”. Crema doesn’t just look nice. It traps the fine aromatics and the light gaseous flavors of coffee beans that register on the palate. It keeps the flavors, which would other wise escape, locked in. The crema is the hallmark of a well prepared espresso.

High pressure pumps are the key to good espresso. The pump forces the water through resistance provided by the packed grounds. The amount of pressure it needs to do so is commonly measured in bar. Good espresso pumps should be able to create more pressure than they need to produce perfect espresso. A good pump has a capacity of creating 15 or more bars. Water should pass through the coffee at approximately 7 to 9 bar of pressure. If the pressure is too low the crema will disappear and the coffee will taste thin and watery. If the pressure is too high the coffee will taste bitter and the espresso will have no crema on top.

Home Security Advice

Posted by admin | Uncategorized | Saturday 31 October 2009 7:56 am

When the topic of home security springs to mind, most people seem to think of burglar alarms and little to nothing else. Alarms can be a great way to protect your home, although they are only a small part of what makes up an effective home security system. Burglar alarms are a key to protecting your home – although there are other things you’ll need as well.

Believe it or not, the windows are actually the key to home security. Homes that have poor constructed windows tend to get broken into a lot more than homes with secure and sturdy windows. When you are dealing with your windows, you should make sure that you have tough glass and locks that fit to the windows. When you are away from home, you should always make sure that your windows are locked. Even though some windows may be hard to reach, you should always lock them. Burglars make a living out of stealing – and they will normally find a way in if they see the opening.

Along with the windows, doors are also known to be a weakness of security around the home. Doors should always be strong and sturdy, complete with tough locks that aren’t easy to force open. If you have a spare key, you should be careful where you leave it. Losing your keys can also make you a target, especially if you have anything on your key ring that reveals your home address.

To better protect their homes, most people choose to invest in a home surveillance system. These systems are great for monitoring the home, as they can record video and keep it stored for you to view later. If you travel a lot, a home surveillance system can be an ideal way to keep a check on your home while you’re away.

Guard dogs are also common with home security as well. A guard dog can protect your home from burglars, thieves, and other types of trouble. Guard dogs can be very handy to have around, as most dogs are more than capable of scaring away trouble with their bark. The only downside to guard dogs is the fact that you’ll need to train them and ensure that they always have food and water.

Last, but certainly not least are burglar alarms. Burglar alarms can be effective to an extent, although they are primarily good for scaring thieves away. If you put an alarm in a visible location from the outside of the home, most burglars won’t even attempt to enter your home. Even though burglar alarms are great for scaring off thieves – you’ll still need to have other areas of your home safe and secure as well to get the most of your home security.

It’s probally best to have greater home security measures in place before you look for American home insurance or American homeowners insurance quotes from your American home insurance company

object-oriented programming: the concepts.

Posted by admin | Uncategorized | Saturday 31 October 2009 6:42 am

Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) is a programming paradigm that uses objects. In object oriented programming (OOP) you create a model for a real world system. Details:.NET Seminare in C#,VB.NET(German).

To be able to use OOP you need to know the concepts of Object Oriented Programming.

Class
A class is the blueprint from which the individual objects are created. It represents the definition of our object. The easiest way to think about a class is to think of it as a prototype. Used in:Windows Forms mit C#,VB.NET(German).

Object
An object is an instantiation of a class. It combines various classical data types into a set that defines a new variable type. Objects are the basic run-time entities in an object-oriented system.

Behavior
An object is a software bundle of related state and behavior. These real-world objects share two characteristics: They all have state and behavior.

State
To define objects we have to define two things: state and behavior. For instance, the bird is flying, that’s the state of the bird.

Abstraction
Abstraction is the process of extracting essential properties while omitting inessential facts. It is the most basic principle of software engineering.

Encapsulation
When a class is encapsulated, it includes everything it needs to do its job. Data cannot be accessible to the outside world. Only functions which are stored in the class can access it. This encapsulation is like a agreement between the implementer of the class and the user of that class. Encapsulation is one of the most important characteristics of an object oriented system. An excellent way to improve your teams dotnet skills, is by booking a Inhouse Dotnet-Training(German).

OOP can significantly increase your efficiency and the quality of the software you create. At its heart, OO programming is about creating distinct packets or groupings of data, what we name objects that model some thing in the application space.

What makes a great Acoustic Guitar?

Posted by admin | Uncategorized | Friday 30 October 2009 2:35 pm

Anyone who wishes to buy an acoustic guitar these days can do it with any sized budget, thanks to the production methods of the Far East. However, you have to keep in mind that you get what you pay for and if you buy quality it will pay off in the long run.

Another decision to make is “what am I going to use it for?”. To have it around at home or to play in a band?

Also, “Am I going to give preference to finger picking or strumming?”.

There are two kinds of guitars, the steel ones and the woods ones.

The wood ones have a better sound and these days you can find one from $300 USD, but if you’re looking for a serious instrument to cherish in your life you might need to spend at least $1300 USD.

If you go for a wood one then you really need to pay attention to the type of wood used on the top, back and sides. You may not believe it but this affects the tone that the instrument produces greatly and certain playing styles require certain woods.

If your style is strumming then perhaps you should go with a guitar that has a spruce top and rosewood on the side and back. Spruice is a very light yellow colour wood. Rosewood is brown with dark veins throughout the length of the wood.

Now what difference does this make besides having a nicely colored guitar? Well the rosewood gives a depth and volume to the sound and the spruce gives a brighter tone.

The dreadnought acoustic guitar is a classic example of this type of guitar and if you are looking for a brighter sound then consider the maple bodied guitar.

If you’re a fingerpicker then a cedar top is your best choice. It has a reddish colour and this wood adds more “middle” to the sound.

As for the back and sides for these guitars, it is advised that mahogany is the correct wood type.

Of course these are only the basics of choosing a guitar. Nowadays manufacturers such as Martin Guitars mix and match these wood combinations for some different effects so it is strongly advised that you experiment with as many different models as you can.

The best known types of different wood combinations are ebony, koa and ovangkol - they give some distinctlty different sounds.

How to choice CD DVD Copier

Posted by admin | Uncategorized | Friday 30 October 2009 6:56 am

Each kind online business is different, so the applications and requirements for CD DVD Duplicator are going to be unique. There are some questions you should consider before you order a CD Replicator

. Once you find out these initial questions you will be on the right path in making an informed decision.

The number one question you need to find out is what type information do you require to duplicate? Will they be CD Audio, Video CD or DVD, or Photo CD or DVD or combinations of data types? If you are a church ministry, audio recording is the norm, and with certain replicator this can be done while the sermon is in progress. This is also true for bands and musical groups that want to duplicate their own recordable DVDs or a live recording. These DVDs can be made “on-the-fly” with live event recorders featuring direct video input devices. Businesses and colleges that produce DVD catalogs use a combination - multi-media presentations, forms and even video. You’ll want to know the specific formats you anticipate duplicating so you can limit the duplicator models you consider to those that will support all of your required format types.

You should also try your best to estimate the number of recordable Taiyo Yuden DVD+R DVDs you’ll need to duplicate during some fixed time period. Be it a day, week, month or quarter, your volume requirements will play a very important role in narrowing down the universe of available models to the most appropriate ones. Certain DVD duplicating applications require very fast turnaround times for varying volumes of discs, while others have broad production windows with lots of advanced notice of the production requirement. Do you need to produce DVDs immediately after a meeting or recording session? Or do you have a longer window allowing you to mail out to customers? Short production window parameters will significantly narrow the list of appropriate duplicator models for you to choose, but if you have the luxury of long lead times, your options are fairly limitless.

What you want the physical disc to look like after it has been produced, and how it will be presented to the ultimate recipient of the disc is also important. Will you want a 4 color offset print quality print on the surface of the disc to provide a professional look in a clear cover DVD DVD case? Maybe you want to include your logo and some simple text, or perhaps you don’t require any identification on the disc at all. Whichever the case, you’ll want to determine your requirements in this area before you start comparing duplicator types and models.

Who will be using the machines is another factor. Are you going to be asking the office manager or department secretary to copy DVDs just like you ask him or her to make copies of your monthly activity report on the photocopier? Or perhaps you have someone with a high level of technical expertise who is going to produce the CDs for the next point release? Either way, you need to give some thought as to who the “users” will be. You don’t want to invest in a product that’s too difficult to use…and therefore isn’t, or one that’s real easy to use, but as a result doesn’t provide all of the features that the power users need.

Another important point to consider is whether or not you want to limit or maximize access to the Blu-ray Replicator.

Determine if your goal is to make it available to others just like any other office machine such as a fax or photocopier, or is it a tool that is better off locked where only authorized staff members can use it. Think this issue through before you make your purchase, and you’ll avoid any potential for buyer’s remorse
